Female Sailmaker of the Year
Originally from the countryside and then completing a sailmaking apprenticeship at Rolly Tasker Germany / Tuchwerkstatt in Greifswald, in 2019 Paula Gössling was voted “best young sailmaker of the year”.
“Tuchwerkstatt” is the home of Rolly Tasker Sails in Germany where craftsmanship is still very much a part of the business. It not only manufactures modern sails, but also very classic sails, hand-sewn, for traditional sailors. Made of proven, traditional cloth, luffs are sewn on by hand as well as all reinforcements, thimbles and reefing tapes.
