A NEW RANGE OF TOP QUALITY CONTINUOUS LINE CODE AND GENNAKER FURLER FOR ALL FLYING HEADSAILS

Sveggen furlers are a new range of high quality furlers designed by experienced sailors for trouble-free, easy operation. They have special, quick-release connecting bolts on both the furler and the top swivel which can easily be opened and closed for ease of hoisting, manoeuvring and recovering large, free hoisting headsails. They are strong and reliable, easy and quick to use, and are ideal for all reaching and downwind sails up to 150m2 - especially the Code O’s and the new Rolly Tasker Code C sail, which is set on its own straight luff with anti-torsion rope, and naturally, great value.

ROBUST AND CLEVER

Learning from years of experience they are a clever design with robust construction, milled from a single piece of hard adonized 7075 aluminium as a guarantee for resistance to even the most severe conditions at sea. With a robust and compact furler unit and top swivel, they are designed for a load of 2.5 tons with breaking strength at 5 tons. They have enclosed stainless-steel ball bearings for easy furling even under heavy load and suit an easy to feed 10-millimetre line which ensures a good grip when furling.

DESIGNED BY EXPERIENCED SAILORS

French engineer David Bonnafois, who also is a very experienced yachtsman, developed this exciting range of Sveggen furling gear. As the owner of a specialised company that makes highly complex parts for watches, helicopters and the aerospace industry and as an active sailor, he decided to design and make a furler for his own boat. After four prototypes, Sveggen furlers are the result of intensive practical testing on the water, helped by input from fellow sailors, to make a furler that is robust, reliable and easy and reliable to use, even in adverse sailing conditions.

Sveggen furlers are the ideal companion for Code O’s, our Code C sail, and Asymmetrical Spinnakers using our top-down adaptors, making the handling of this exciting and versatile cruising sail extremely simple and trouble-free even for shorthanded crews.
